Kampshoff, Santos Lead Cobras to 3-1 Victory Over Emmanuel

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's volleyball team avenged its loss at Emmanuel College earlier in the season on Friday (Mar. 1) night, beating the Lions 3-1 in the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center.

Joao Victor Santos was back at it again as he led the team with 20 kills just one night after becoming the first player in Coker history to surpass 1000 kills. Shaun Kampshoff looked impressive as he set a new career-high in kills with 17 on the night while fellow freshman Manuel Hernandez recorded a double-doube with 12 kills and a game-high of 11 digs. Absalon Williams and Max Kuntz also added six kills each in the win. Brandon Ravelo also set a new career high with 57 assists, beating his previous record by five while also completing it in one less set. Parker Oldham recorded five digs after getting the start at libero and played strong to help propell the Cobras to victory.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 4) when they travel to North Greenville University for a 3:00 PM match.
