Santos Records Historic 1000th Kill in Loss to North Greenville

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's volleyball team fell at home to North Greenville 3-1 on Thursday (Feb. 28) night as senior Joao Victor Santos became the first player in program history to reach 1000 kills.

Santos was up to his usual ways, leading the Cobras with 15 kills on the night. Manuel Hernandez was not far behind with 11 kills in the loss, finishing as the only other Cobra with double-digit kills. Max Kuntz finished just shy of double figures with seven kills, while Absalon Williams notched five kills. Parker Oldham and Shaun Kampshoff chipped in with two and one kill, respectively. Brandon Ravelo led the Cobras in assists with 36 while Hernandez led the squad in digs with seven.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Mar. 1) when they host Emmanuel College at 7:00 PM.
