Coker Wraps Up Season with Runner-Up Finish at IVA Tournament

PHILIPPI, W. Va.- The Coker College men's volleyball team ended their 2018 season in a battle with Lincoln Memorial in the IVA Championship match, bringing a second-place trophy back to Hartsville for a second consecutive year. The Cobras lost the hard-fought battle 3-2 (21-25, 26-24, 30-32, 25-23, 10-15).

Joao Victor Santos had another superb night at the net, collecting 23 kills (55 for the tournament), one service ace, five digs, and six total blocks. Gary Baker led the team in digs with 12, adding five assists and a block assist as well. Gabriel Castro contributed 15 kills, one ace, three digs, and three total blocks. Stephen Porras had 14 kills in the match, alongside two assists, a match-high three aces, eight digs, and two total blocks. Parker Oldham finished with a kill, an assist, three digs, and four total blocks. Setter Aleksa Bijelic added four kills, 46 assists, an ace, 10 digs, and two block assists

Santos, Porras, and Castro each earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
