Coker Falls to Lincoln Memorial on Senior Night, Baker Breaks Season Digs Record

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's volleyball team hosted the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters for their last home match of the season on Friday, April 6. The Cobras faced an efficient offense and defense in the Railsplitters and fell 3-0 (22-25, 16-25, 18-25).

Joao Victor Santos and Gabriel Castro led the match with 12 kills a piece. Santos added an assist, the lone service ace for Coker, five digs, and one of the two block assists. Castro contributed an assist and four digs. Gary Baker reached double-digit digs on the night for a match-high 12, along with two kills and two assists. Baker now holds the single-season dig record at Coker with 200 through 21 matches and with some still to play. Parker Oldham finished with two assists and a dig. Stephen Porras supplied seven kills, two assists, six digs, and the other half of the block with Santos. Aleksa Bijelic provided three kills, 27 assists, and six digs.  

Tonight was the regular season finale for the Navy and Gold. Next weekend (April 13-14), Coker will take part in the second annual IVA Tournament, hosted by Alderson Broaddus. The schedule is to be determined.
