Cobras Encounter Visiting Bulldogs

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's volleyball will play host to Barton College on Tuesday (Mar. 20) in hopes of continuing their four-game win streak.

The Cobras (10-7) are fueled by Joao Victor Santos's remarkable 240 kills, alongside Stephen Porras (195) and Gabriel Castro (182) with outstanding numbers. Aleksa Bijelic has offered up 600 assists through Coker's 17 matches. Santos, Porras, Castro, and Parker Oldham are absolute terrors at the service line with 33, 33, 26, 22 aces, respectively. Gary Baker and Bijelic have surpassed the century mark in digs, as Baker has 157 and Bijelic has 125. Santos and Oldham also make their presence known at the net. Santos has earned 52 total blocks (12 solo and 40 assisted), while Oldham has 33 total (10 solo and 23 assisted).

The Bulldogs (14-6) are led by 259 kills from Angelos Mandilaris and an even 200 from Aleksa Brkovic. Their primary setter, Oscar Fiorentino, has 669 assists on the season. Justice Lord has 42 total blocks thus far to lead Barton.

As of March 15, Coker leads the nation in aces per set with 2.07. Individually, Santos was ranked ninth in aces per set and in points per set.

First serve for the match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20.
