HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker men's volleyball team squared off against the Bluefield College Rams in mid-week action on Tuesday (Mar. 13) night. The Cobras (9-7) are now on a three-game winning streak after downing Bluefield 3-1 (25-13, 25-14, 22-25, 25-13).

Stephen Porras finished with a career-high 20 kills, with a hitting percentage of .514. He also contributed two service aces and five digs. Gary Baker marked a career-high in kills as well with six, and added an assist and 11 digs. Gabriel Castro tied his season-high four aces, with nine kills, two digs, and two block assists. His four aces came in straight serves in the fourth set to increase the Coker lead. Parker Oldham hit an outstanding .600 on three kills and five attempts with no errors. He collected three assists, two aces, six digs, and two block assists. Joao Victor Santos was a force at the net, amassing five total blocks, plus eight kills, two aces, and four digs. Aleksa Bijelic handed out 41 assists on the night, amidst an ace, seven digs, and four block assists.

As a team in the second set, the Cobras hit for a fiery .556 with 11 kills and only one error. On the match, the percentage with .307.

The Navy and Gold return to home court for their next match versus the Alderson Broaddus Battlers on Saturday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m.
