Coker Puts on Show Against Barons

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker men's volleyball team clashed with Brewton-Parker on Friday (Feb. 23) night. The Cobras owned the night and the win 3-0 (25-8, 25-7, 25-12).

The game was all about the ace, with Coker serving up 22 as a team. Every Cobra finished with at least one to their credit.

Stephen Porras tied a Coker match record for aces with eight, held by teammate Gabriel Castro since 2016. Porras also had five kills and three digs. Gary Baker finished with four kills, three assists, one ace, and five digs for a solid outing. Gabriel Castro was a perfect 3-3 on swings, along with one service ace and four digs. Parker Oldham ended with four kills, one assist, four aces, three digs, and one solo block. Joao Victor Santos hit a fiery .615 with nine kills, while adding three assists, four aces, and five digs. Aleksa Bijelic was 2-2 on kills with 19 assists, four aces, and four digs.

The Navy and Gold will take home court again Saturday (Feb. 24) afternoon at 2:00 p.m. versus the Limestone Saints.
