Men’s Volleyball Adds Three

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's volleyball coach Allison Stack announced today the additions of Artur Cabral, James Fulton and Aleksa Bijelic. Cabral is set to enroll at Coker beginning in January, while Fulton and Bijelic will be joining the team beginning in fall 2014.

"The fact that Artur joins the team immediately is very exciting," said Stack. "Because he's 6-foot-5-inches and has international experience, he gives us a new element to work with this season. With James and Aleksa, they also bring versatility that will allow us to propel our fairly new men's program to greater heights."

Cabral is a right side/outside hitter from Maceio, Alagoas, Brazil, where he attended Colégio Pitágoras in Cidade Jardim. A four-year letterwinner in volleyball, Cabral is a three-time state champion, two-time district champion, two-time high school offensive player of the year, three-time high school player of the year and five-time state player of the year selection.

Artur is the son of Helio Cabral Jr. and Wladia Bessa.

Fulton, a middle blocker/opposite hitter, is from Baldwin, N.Y., where he attends Holy Trinity High School. As a four-year letterwinner for the Titans, Fulton was a three-year captain and Nassau Suffolk Catholic High School Athletic Association all-league player.

James is the son of John and Leslie Fulton.

Bijelic, a setter, is from Subotica, Serbia, where he attends Politechnical High School. A four-year letterwinner and team captain, Bijelic led his high school to a regional title this season.

Aleksa is the son of Zoran and Rajka Bijelic.
