HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Coker College men's tennis team fell to Mercyhurst 4-3 in their opening match at the Spring TennisFest.
Pablo Gonzalo-Saul picked up two victories on the afternoon, pairing with Hunter Horton to win in #3 doubles (6-4), and then also winning his #6 singles match (6-4, 6-2).
Melwin Krall and Max Sturgess pulled out a big 6-2 victory in #1 doubles, helping the Cobras take the doubles point to open the match. Isaac MacMillan also won his #5 singles match (6-3, 6-4) keeping the Cobras within striking distance.
Coker will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 6) as they continue Spring TennisFest action against Palm Beach Atlantic.
