Staab and Company Climb ITA National Rankings

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's tennis team moved up to No. 33 in the nation according to the latest rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week.

In addition to the team ranking, sophomore Andre Staab climbed the national and regional rankings individually. The Aschaffenburg, Germany native moved up to No. 22 in the national singles rankings and he jumped to No. 4 in the Southeast region. Staab, along with doubles partner James Corfield, is also ranked No. 8 in the region for doubles play.

Currently, the Cobra men are in second place in the South Atlantic Conference standings with a 6-1 record. Staab is undefeated in league play (7-0), along with teammates Tom Sizeland and Martin Moncayo. In addition to his perfect 7-0 record in conference, Sizeland has been flawless in his last 10 singles matches.

The Cobras are back on the court on Friday (Mar. 28) at home against the Mars Hill University Lions.
