Four Coker Men's Soccer Players Awarded All-Conference Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference released its 2021-2022 Men’s Soccer All-Conference awards today (Nov. 9). The Coker University men’s soccer team had four players receive All-Conference honors.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference released its 2021-2022 Men's Soccer All-Conference awards today (Nov. 9). The Coker University men's soccer team had four players receive All-Conference honors.

Jacques Fokam-Sandeu was named First Team All-Conference. The forward from Paris, France totaled 13 goals and four assists for 30 points this season and sits at second most in the conference for points and goals. This is Fokam-Sandeu's second career All-Conference honor. The junior entrepreneurship major is the son of Jean.

Hugo Jönsson was awarded Second Team All-Conference. The midfielder from Malmo, Sweden has totaled two goals and one assist this season for four points. Jonsson netted the game-winner versus Wingate on Oct. 13 for the program's first win over the Bulldogs. This is Jonsson's first career All-Conference honor. The senior psychology major is the son of Anders and Cecilia Jönsson.

Bastiaan Jager was named Second Team All-Conference. The freshman defender from Wildebank, Groningen, Netherlands has totaled three goals and two assists for eight points. Jager netted the game-winner against No. 9 Limestone on Oct. 16. He was named SAC Astroturf Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 19. This is Jager's first career All-Conference honor. The communications major is the son of Meindert and Margriet Jager.

Gustavo Palmieri was named Third Team All-Conference. The defender from Sao Paulo, Brazil has totaled a goal and three assists for five points this season. Palmieri netted the game-winner versus Tusculum on Sept. 25. This is Palmieri's first career All-Conference honor. The senior business administration major is the son of Paulo Palmieri and Regina Palmieri.

The Cobras are back in action this Friday Nov. 12 at 5:00 p.m. against the Anderson University Trojans (S.C.), in the SAC tournament semifinals in Matthews, N.C. at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex. Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
