Coker's Provenzano and Ricci Named to SAC All-Tournament Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. – At the conclusion of the South Atlantic Conference men's soccer championship game on Sunday (Nov. 17), the conference announced an all-tournament team that included Coker's Christian Provenzano and Riccardo Ricci.

In the SAC quarterfinals and semifinals, Provenzano had a combined three goals and two assists versus Carson-Newman and Anderson (S.C.).

Ricci assisted on two of Provenzano's goals, and received the 2019 SAC Men's Soccer Elite 20 Award, which honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade point average. Riccardo finished with a 4.0 GPA in his major of Computer Science. He appeared in all 18 games for the Cobras this season, scoring two goals with three assists.

Provenzano was second in the conference with 14 goals, and led the SAC in assists with nine. Christian was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 23 – Sept. 29. He was the SPC Credit-Union Student Athlete of the month of September for Coker University.

"Christian and Riccardo both fully deserve this recognition. They rose to the occasion when we needed them the most," said coach Michael Antoniewicz. "The whole team should be very proud of their achievements this season."
