Coker's Riccardo Ricci Earns SAC Men's Soccer Elite 20 Award

MATTHEWS, N.C. – Coker University men's soccer senior forward Riccardo Ricci was honored as the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Elite 20 Award Winner on Friday (Nov. 15) at the SAC Men's Soccer Championship at the SportsPlex in Matthews, N.C.

This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 20 team championship sports.

Ricci, a native of La Spezia, Italy, has a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Computer Science. In 2018-19, Riccardo was named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Ricci appeared in all 18 games this season for the Cobras, scoring two goals with three assists.

"Riccardo has been a great representative for our program," said coach Michael Antoniewicz. "We take pride in our student-athletes excelling in the classroom and it's something he has worked very hard for!"

The Cobras season concluded on Friday (Nov. 15) with a 2-1 loss to Anderson (S.C.) in the SAC Semifinals.
