FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE RELEASE

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6. Coker midfielder Christian Provenzano was named the offensive player of the week for the second consecutive week.

Provenzano, a junior from Bonassola, Italy, helped the Cobras to a 2-0 record last week, extending their winning streak to five matches. He finished the week with four goals and two assists for 10 points. He scored a pair of goals in Coker's 4-1 win over Anderson and added two goals, including the game-winner, along with two assists in the Cobras' 4-0 victory over Catawba. This is Provenzano's second consecutive offensive player of the week accolade of the season.

"Christian fully deserves this accomplishment and recognition," said coach Michael Antoniewicz. "Scoring 4 goals and assisting on two goals is an unbelievable feat. This award is something our entire team can take pride in as we now focus on our next match. "

The Cobras return to action, seeking their sixth consecutive victory on Saturday (Oct. 12) when they host the Carson-Newman University Eagles in a South Atlantic Conference match. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field.
