Coker Mens Soccer Ranked Seventh in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Regional Poll

FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE RELEASE

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker University men's soccer team was ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II United Soccer Coaches Poll for the Southeast Region. The Cobras enter the poll for the first time since the 2013 season.

The Cobras are 5-2 on the season thus far, with a 1-1 record in the South Atlantic Conference. Their most notable win came on Sept. 25 when they upset nationally ranked Lander University by a score of 1-0, fueled by Christian Provenzano's game winning goal in the second half.

"I'm glad our players have gotten the recognition they deserve for their accomplishments," said coach Michael Antoniewicz. "We have to keep playing with the same sense of urgency, I know our team is capable of much more."

The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 2) when they take on the Anderson University Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Live coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
