Cobras Tussle with Bulldogs in Non-Conference Matchup

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team will host the visiting Barton College Bulldogs in a non-conference match on Wednesday (Oct. 24) at 7 p.m. Live stats and video can be found at www.cokercobras.com. 

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow afternoon's match with a pair of players recording three goals or more on the season. Aladdin Elfares leads the offensive charge for the Cobras with a team-leading five goals. Elfares has also dished out two assists for a total of twelve points. Jacob Simonis is another Coker offensive player to watch, as he's recorded three goals on the year. In addition, Robbie Jenkinson has added two goals on the offensive end. In goal, Coker has received solid play from Justin Walker, who has collected 38 saves and a 1.56 goals against average. 

Last Saturday (Oct. 21), the Cobras traveled to Queens and defeated the Royals 2-1 behind goals from Elfares and Cameron McDonald

The Bulldogs enter tomorrow's match sporting a 5-10-1 overall record and a 4-3-2 mark in conference play. Offensively, Barton is led by Pol Monells who has recorded nine goals and two assists.

As mentioned, opening kick is set for 7 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
