Cobras Tussle with Railsplitters in Weekend SAC Match

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team will host the visiting Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters in a South Atlantic Conference match on Saturday (Oct. 14) at 2 p.m. Live stats and video can be found at www.cokercobras.com. 

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow afternoon's match with a trio of players recording two goals or more on the season. Aladdin Elfares leads the offensive charge for the Cobras with a team-leading four goals. Elfares has also dished out two assists for a total of ten points. Jacob Simonis is another Coker offensive player to watch, as he's recorded three goals on the year. In addition, Robbie Jenkinson has added two goals on the offensive end. In goal, Coker has received solid play from Justin Walker, who has collected 31 saves and a 1.56 goals against average. 

Last Saturday (Oct. 8), the Cobras traveled to Tusculum and defeated the Pioneers 3-1 behind goals from Elfares, Matt Trimby, and Quadarius Grate

The Railsplitters come into tomorrow's match sporting a 7-2-2 overall record and a 2-2-2 mark in conference play. Offensively, Lincoln Memorial is led by Danilo da Silva who has recorded nine goals and five assists. 

As mentioned, opening kick is set for 2 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
