Cobras Host No. 7 Pioneers in Final Regular Season Home Contest

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team is set to face the No. 7 nationally-ranked Tusculum College Pioneers in a South Atlantic Conference matchup on Tuesday (Oct. 25) at 2 p.m. Live stats and broadcast can be found at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras enter the matchup sporting a 4-2 record in front of the Coker faithful, including winning three of their last four at the friendly confines of the Coker Athletic Field. Last time out, the Cobras picked up 2-0 win over the visiting Queens University of Charlotte Royals.

Aladdin Elfares comes into the contest ranking fifth in the SAC with eight goals on the season, while Alvaro Urena is tied for sixth with seven goals. Both rank inside the top 15 with 17 and 14 points on the year. In goal, Michael Ritterbeck has collected 49 saves.

The Pioneers come into the contest with a 12-2 overall record and a 7-2 in conference, after losing their previous two contests. Tusculum was ranked No. 7 in the latest (Oct. 18) NSCAA DII national poll. They are led by the 12 goals of Andre De Giorgi.

Opening kick is set for 2 p.m. with the gates of the Coker Athletic Field opening at 1 p.m. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
