Coker Drops SAC Contest Against Brevard

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team fell to the Brevard College Tornados 3-1 on Saturday (Sept. 19) in a South Atlantic Conference matchup.

The Tornados would strike first with a goal in the 11th minute to take a 1-0 lead. However, Alvaro Urena would tie things up when he put a free kick in the back of the net in the 20th minute. The score would remain tied 1-1 as both teams headed into the locker rooms at half.

The second half would see Brevard score in the 74th and 88th minute to secure the 3-1 road victory.

Alvaro Urena led the way with the lone Coker goal, while Jaedon Williamson recorded two shots on goal.

The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Sept. 23) as they take on Newberry at home. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
