AIKEN, S.C. – The Coker Cobras narrowly lost to the regionally ranked No. 4 USC Aiken Pacers 3-2 on Wednesday (Oct. 15) in a non-conference men's soccer match.

After a scoreless first half, the Cobras were first to strike, taking a 1-0 lead thanks to Tony Quiroz. The senior midfielder put Coker on the board with a penalty kick in the 50^th minute. Ten minutes later USCA scored the equalizer, and another three minutes after that the Pacers took a 2-1 lead.

In the 78^th minute Ian Fellenz evened the score at two with an assist from Matt Taylor. The score remained tied until the 87^th minute when USCA scored its third and final goal, for a 3-2 victory.

Kyndle Cobb made six saves in 90 minutes of action for the Cobras in goal.

The Cobras will return to the pitch for a South Atlantic Conference match at Carson-Newman University on Saturday (Oct. 18). Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
