Cobras and Indians Play to 0-0 Draw

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Coker Cobras played the Catawba Indians to a 0-0 draw on Saturday (Oct. 4) evening in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action.

The star of the match for the Cobras was goalkeeper Kyndle Cobb. The sophomore keeper not only posted a clean sheet, but he made some unbelievable, game changing saves along the way. He ended the night with four saves total, including two big saves in overtime. The first overtime save came late in the match on a penalty kick. Cobb dove to his left and fully extended to punch away the Indian shot. Then just minutes later, he caught a shot just inches from the goal line, preserving the shut out and saving the match for the Cobras.

In addition to Cobb's stellar defense, The Cobras rattled off nine shots and had nine corner kicks.

The Cobras will return to the pitch on Wednesday (Oct. 8) when they travel to Wingate University for a SAC match. Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
