Coker Men Looking to Dethrone Royals

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team will play host to in conference rival the Queens University of Charlotte Royals on Saturday (Sept. 27) beginning at 7 p.m. Game will be broadcast live on www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are coming off a 2-1 victory over Bears of Lenoir Rhyne.

Jordan Snell leads the offensive attack for Coker with three goals and two assists on the season. Snell's season is good enough to land him in the top five spots for goals, points, and shots in the South Atlantic Conference. Goalkeeper Kyndle Cobb is also in the top five in the conference saves category with 25 saves on the season.

The Royals come in with a 2-5 overall and 2-1 in conference record after wins over Brevard College and Anderson University. They are led by the sophomore duo of Issac Walker, with two goals, and Marc-Kevin Schwenk, with four assists. Goalkeeper Montrell Morgan has a conference leading 37 saves on the year.

Saturday is Autism Awareness Day and fans are asked to wear light blue to support and raise awareness for Autism. Game time is set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Coker College soccer fields. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
