Jackson Named SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker College men's soccer player Daniel Jackson has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced today. Jackson is the first men's soccer player to earn a SAC award and second Coker athlete to be named conference player of the week.

Jackson, a forward, had a huge offensive week for the Cobras. He had a goal and assist in Coker's 3-0 victory over No. 1 regionally ranked Flagler College. Jackson continued his offensive assault with four more goals in a 6-1 rout of SAC foe Brevard College.

During the regular season, Jackson tallied 14 goals and two assists for 30 points. The 30 points were good for third in the conference, while the 14 goals are second best in the SAC and set a new Coker single-season record for goals scored.

A senior from Silver Springs, Md., Jackson is a computer science major. He is the son of Toni Moore and Clinton Davis.
