Four Men's Soccer Players Named All-Conference

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Four members of the Coker College men's soccer team have been selected as all-conference performers by the South Atlantic Conference, it was announced today.

Leading the way were forward Daniel Jackson and defender Fernando Bedoya, who were both tabbed first-team selections. Rounding out the honorees were first-time all-conference selections Tony Quiroz and Jordan Snell, who both made it as midfielders.

Jackson, a Conference Carolinas third team all-conference selection in 2012, had a record-breaking season for the Cobras. He led the team with 14 goals, a new single-season team record, and added a pair of assists. Jackson's 14 goals and 30 points were good for second and third in the conference, respectively.

A senior from Silver Springs, Md., Jackson is a computer science major. He is the son of Toni Moore and Clinton Davis.

Bedoya, also a Conference Carolinas first team all-conference selection in 2011 and 2012, anchored a Coker defense that led the conference with seven shutouts. He also tallied two assists.

Hailing from Miami, Fla., Bedoya is a junior physical education and sport studies major with a concentration in sports management. He is the son of Rosa Carmona and Fernando Bedoya.

Quiroz was the defensive leader in the midfield for the Cobras. His one goal and three assists on the year earned him second-team honors.

A junior from Miami, Fla., Quiroz is a business administration major. He is the son of Edues and Judith Quiroz.

Snell, a dynamic playmaker, was chosen as an honorable mention after scoring two goals and registering four assists. His four assists were good for 10th best in the conference.

A Palm Bay, Fla., native, Snell is a junior physical education and sport studies major with a concentration in physical fitness programming. He is the son of John and Mary Snell.
