Coker Falls to Carson-Newman

HARTSVILLE, S.C.  – The Coker men's soccer team suffered a tough 4-0 loss at the hands of the Carson-Newman Eagles on Saturday (Oct. 19) in South Atlantic Conference soccer action.

The tandem of Ross Frame and Jaschin Nicolai Noll led the Eagle offense, as they either scored or assisted on each Carson-Newman's goal. They scored two goals in the first half and added another two in the second.

The Cobras generated several offensive opportunities throughout the match, out shooting the Eagles 10-7, however, they were unable to find the back of the net. Coker also held the advantage on corner kicks 5-2.

Coker will return to action on Wednesday (Oct. 23) when it hosts Newberry in a SAC match at 7 p.m. Wednesday's match will be Scout Night at Coker, with all Boy and Girl Scouts receiving free admission to the games if dressed in uniform.
