Coker Men Looking to Take Down Carson-Newman

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's soccer team will host the Carson-Newman Eagles in a South Atlantic Conference match on Saturday (Oct. 19). The match will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker (5-3-2, 3-3-1 SAC) is coming off a 1-0 conference win against Mars Hill. Noah Gulley led the Cobras to victory, as he scored the first goal of his colligate career against the Lions. The men will look to Daniel Jackson to help guide them against the Eagles. The senior forward has scored eight goals this season and is ranked No. 4 in the conference in goals.

The Eagles are 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the SAC. They are coming off a 2-1 conference win against Newberry. Sindre Welo scored both goals for Carson-Newman against the Wolves. Junior forward Ross Frame has been the offensive leader for the Eagles so far this season. He has scored nine goals with seven assists, and is currently ranked No. 3 in the conference in goals and No. 1 in assists.

The match is set to start at 7 p.m., following the women's match at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty, and staff.

Coker will also be hosting Emmanuel Christian School Night. All Emmanuel students, faculty, and staff will be admitted free to both the men's and women's matches.
