No. 10 Coker Blanks Belmont Abbey, 1-0

HARTVILLE, S.C. – Carlos Recinos (Houston, Texas) led the nationally ranked No. 10 Cobra men's soccer team to their fourteenth victory of the season by scoring his ninth game-winning goal of the season in Coker's 1-0 victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas men's soccer action on Tuesday night.

The Cobras improve to 14-2 on the season and 9-1 in conference play.

After a scoreless first half of play, Recinos netted the game-winner when he blasted a shot past the Crusader's Louis Liberatore from 25 yards out. Coker's Fernando Bedoya (Miami, Fla.) had the assist on the goal.

Coker controlled possession of the ball for most of the game and they held an advantage on shots 14-7. The Cobras also held the advantage on corner kicks 8-6.

James Sweeney (Huntingtown, Md.) earned the clean sheet in the net, his seventh of the season.

Coker will be back on the field for their final regular season match of the season on Saturday at 7 p.m. at home against St. Andrews.
