Cobras Fall to No. 20 Tusculum in SAC Action

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse team fell to the No. 20 Tusculum College Pioneers 17-7 Sunday (Apr. 9) afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.

Vinny Magro and Rylee Marsh led the attack for the Cobras with two goals apiece. In addition, both attackman scored on extra man opportunities for the Navy and Gold. Also contributing offensively for Coker with goals was Patrick Timothee, Drew Thomson, and Jacob Glass. Lucas Hediger dished out two assists in the game, and Garrett Kilgore also had one.

Defensively, Ryan Powell picked up five ground balls, while Magro, Glass, DeShaun Ormond, Charles Stafford, Evan Bachman, and Cole Theodoropolous all picked up two. Austin Holgate had a standout performance defensively as well with a team-high three caused turnovers.

The Cobras will be back in action on Apr. 15 when they travel to Queens to take on the Royals at 4 p.m.
