HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's lacrosse team (3-7, 1-4 SAC) lost a South Atlantic Conference matchup against Mars Hill (3-5, 1-4 SAC) by a score of 15-11 on Sunday (Apr. 2) afternoon.  The Cobras trailed just 10-8 heading into the fourth quarter, and closed the gap to 10-9 with 14:09 remaining. However, Mars Hill responded with four unanswered goals to seal the victory.

The Cobras fell behind 1-0 early, but responded with three straight goals from Denton Wilks, Patrick Timothee, and Garrett Kilgore to grab a 3-1 lead.  The Cobras and Lions traded goals for the next quarter before Mars Hill used a 4-0 run to stretch their lead to 9-5.  Rylee Marsh brought the Cobras back, scoring three goals in the third quarter to close the margin to 10-8.

The fourth quarter opened with an unassisted goal from Garrett Kilgore to cut the score to 10-9, but Mars Hill responded with four straight goals to push their lead to 14-9 with 7:48 remaining.  The Cobras made a late push with Ryan Marsh's fourth goal, and another goal from Patrick Timothee, but it wouldn't be enough to make up the deficit.
