Coker Men’s Lacrosse to Compete in Vs. Cancer Foundation Fundraiser

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse program will compete in the Vs. Cancer Foundation Fundraiser leading up to their Fall Play Day (Oct. 15) at Clover High School located in Clover, S.C.

"It's a privilege to work with the Vs. Cancer Foundation and donate to a great cause, said head coach David Olliver. "We also love the fact that we can compete with Belmont Abbey, Mars Hill, and Wingate in the donation process."

Leading up to the Fall Play Day, the Cobras will be collecting donations for the Vs. Foundation to aid in the foundation's effort to eliminate pediatric cancer. The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts.

Based on their half and half model, of all the proceeds, half will be given to national childhood cancer research and half will be given to local childhood cancer hospitals and other efforts.

As mentioned, the Cobras will be joined in the Fall Play Day by Belmont Abbey, Mars Hill, and Wingate, who will also be collecting donations for the Vs. Cancer Foundation.

You can help the Cobras reach their goal by visiting Coker's Vs. Cancer Foundation page and making an online contribution.
