Cobras End Regular Season with Conference Championship

BREVARD, N.C. – The Coker men's lacrosse team closed out its 2015 regular season with a convincing 15-7 South Atlantic Conference win over Brevard College on Saturday (Apr. 11) afternoon. The win improved Coker to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play. The win also extended the Cobras' winning streak to eight games and clinched the team a share of the 2015 regular season SAC conference championship.

The Cobras led wire-to-wire over the Tornados. Leading the way offensively was John Bretton with four goals, while Josh Wassum added three goals and an assist. Shane Wilson found the back of the net three times and Rylee Marsh tallied two goals and an assist. Josh Smith, Brad Clements and Patrick Timothee each netted one goal, while Mike Martiello and Nick Maddox each dished out an assist. Defensively, Tim Ryan made 12 saves in 60 minutes of action.

The Cobras must wait for the conclusion of all SAC games to determine their seeding for the SAC Men's Championship starting on Tuesday (Apr. 14).
