Coker Men’s Lacrosse Opens Season Against St. Leo

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse team will open its 2015 campaign with a non-conference matchup against the visiting Lions of St. Leo University. Game time is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 14) with live stats and video available at www.cokercobras.com

The Coker offense will be led by preseason All-SAC second team selection Mike Martiello. He finished last season with 33 goals and 23 assists adding up to a spectacular 56-point sophomore season. The defense is headed by Dylan Marks, who was also a preseason All-SAC second team selection. He finished last season with 30 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers. In between the pipes, Tim Ryan will look to repeat his 2014 season where he earned SAC defensive player of the week three times.

Saturday's matchup will also serve as the Lions season opener. They finished 2014 with a 8-7 overall record and a 3-2 in conference record in the Sunshine State Conference.

The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. at Byerly Park.
