Four Coker Men's Lacrosse Players Named All-Conference

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Four members of the Coker College men's lacrosse team have been selected as all-conference performers by the South Atlantic Conference, it was announced today.

Leading the way was midfielder Mike Martiello, who was tabbed as a second-team selection. Rounding out the honorees were attackmen Ryan Maurer and Andy Campos, and defender Dylan Marks, who all made it as honorable mention selections.

Martiello had a stellar year for the Cobras as he led the team with 53 points on 32 goals and 21 assists. His point total, goals and assists ranked him in the top five of all three categories in the SAC statistical standings, while his 50-point season was only the second in program history.

A sophomore from Westbury, N.Y., Martiello is a business administration major. He is the son of Denise and Joseph Malone and Joseph Martiello.

Maurer, a dynamic playmaker, led the Coker offense with 29 assists, while adding 16 goals for 45 points on the season. His assist and point totals ranked first and fifth in the SAC, respectively.

Hailing from Mt. Sinai, N.Y., Maurer is a senior education major with a concentration in elementary education. He is the son of Maureen and Alan Maurer.

Campos was a vital part to the Navy and Yellow's success offensively as he finished the season with the team's third highest point total. He tallied 42 points on 24 goals and 18 assists to rank in the top ten of each category in the SAC.

A senior from Los Angeles, Calif., Campos is a business administration major with a concentration in sport management. He is the son of Veronica Campos.

Marks was the defensive catalyst for Coker as he registered 29 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers on the year. His 13 caused turnovers were good for 10th in the SAC statistical standings.

A Westminster, Md. native, Marks is a junior physical education and sport studies major with a concentration in exercise science. He is the son of Jean and Steve Marks.
