Wanjoo Lee to Represent Coker at the 2018 Division II Southeast Regional

ROCK HILL, S.C.- Coker men's golf member Wanjoo Lee has excelled on the course for the 2017-18 season and has qualified for the 2018 Division II Men's Golf Southeast Regional for individual play. The Southeast Regional will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University and will be played at the Rock Barn Country Club May 7 – 9, with a practice round on May 6. Over the course of the 2017-18 season, Wanjoo Lee won the individual title at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. Later in the season, Lee assisted the men's golf team to a team championship at the Queens University Collegiate Invitational, finishing 15th individually.

In nine tournaments played, Lee posted seven top-20 finishes, while maintaining a 3.96 GPA. Lee's average round score was 72.74 for the season, including a low round score of 68. The Cobra also had three rounds in the 60's and 11 rounds of par or better. Lee's highest individual ranking of the season by Golfstat was 51st among Division II golfers. Lee was named to the Second Team All-South Atlantic Conference. As a team, Coker finished the season ranked 30th in the country.

Wanjoo Lee will head to Hickory, N.C. May 7 – 9 to represent Coker College as an individual participant in the 2018 Division II Men's Golf Southeast Regional. Lee's play can be tracked by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
