Rain Cancels Third Round at Hargett Memorial Invitational, Cobras Finish Fourth

MONROE, N.C.- Coker College men's golf was expected to play the final round at the Hargett Memorial Invitational on Monday, March 12, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Monday's final round has been cancelled and the 36-hole totals taken on Sunday (March 11) will stand as the official results for the tournament. 

After the first round of play, Coker shot a team score of 295 (+7) and a second round score of 290 (+2), to finish in fourth place overall.

Wanjoo Lee led the way for the Cobras in the opening rounds, powering a two-under, 70 and one-over 73, which tied him for seventh place in individual play.

Ethan Cairns and Daniel Graves also kept pace with the top-15 in the field. Cairns shot an even-par 72 in round one and a 74 (+2) in round two, finishing 13th. Graves fired a three-over, 75 and even-par 72, to finish tied for 14th.

Nicolas Parra and Zachary Herold bookended play for the Navy and Gold. Parra finished tied for 19th individually with rounds of 78 (+6) and a one-under 71.  Herold fired off rounds of 79 (+7) and 77 (+5).

Coker's next tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday, March 25-26, at the Bearcat Invitational at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenville, S.C. Results from the rounds can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
