Rain Cancels Third Round, Cobras Finish Eighth at Southern Tide Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's golf team was expected to complete the third round of play at the Southern Tide Intercollegiate, though Mother Nature had other plans, raining out the remainder of the event on Tuesday, March 6, at Green Valley Country Club. The Cobras shot a two-round team score of 598 (+22) on Monday, March 5, as Coker finished in eighth place.   

Nicolas Parra led the way for the Cobras securing rounds of 73 (+1) and 75 (+3) for a two-round total of 148. Parra is tied for 20th overall individually.

Zachary Herold picked up the second-best Navy and Gold scorecard on the day, signing off on a 76 (+4) and 73 (+1) for a first-day total of 149. Herold is tied for 25th individually, alongside teammate Ethan Cairns, who carded a 74 (+2) and 75 (+3) for a total of 149.

Wanjoo Lee bookended play for Coker with a two-round total of 152.

The Navy and Gold will next compete in the Wingate Invitational from Monroe Country Club in Monroe, N.C., on Sunday and Monday, March 11-12. Results from the action can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
