Coker Tied for Second Through Round One, Round Two Suspended Due to Darkness

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's golf program traveled to Orange Park, Fla. to take on the Spring Kick-Off Invitational at Fleming Island Golf Club on Monday (Feb. 12). Teams were attempting to play two rounds in day one, but darkness fell and suspended play until Tuesday (Feb. 13) morning. As play was halted, Coker is tied for second place at two-shots under par unofficially. Rounds two and three will be continued and played on Tuesday. 

Through the first round at the Spring Kick-Off Invitational, Coker held a team score of 282, two-shots under par. Wanjoo Lee led the Cobras firing a three-under, 68 before moving on to round two. Lee played through nine holes in his second round, and currently is tied for seventh individually.

Daniel Graves wasn't far behind Lee, posting a first round 71 (E), and is three shots under though seven holes in the second round. Graves resides tied for third individually.

Ethan Cairns and Nicolas Parra helped bookend play for the Navy and Gold. Cairns carded a first round even par, 71, with Parra just a shot behind. Cairns is one shot over through nine holes in his second round and Parra is even through eight. Both Players are tied for 19th individually.

As mentioned, the Cobras will resume round two and complete round three of the Spring Kick-Off Invitational beginning Tuesday (Feb. 13) morning at the Fleming Island Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla. Results can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
