Coker Men's Golf Earns No. 25 National Ranking

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's golf team earned the No. 25 ranking in the country in NCAA DII, which was released in the latest Golfstat rankings announced on Wednesday (Oct. 18). 

The Cobras, who completed their fall schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 17), secured one tournament championship at the Queens University Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 18-19), while picking up four top-five finishes in their first four tournaments.

Wanjoo Lee has been masterful on the course for Coker, bringing home an Individual Title at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-3). In 10 rounds played this fall, Lee held an average score of 71.9 and a low round score of 69. Zachary Herold has also played well consistently with an average score of 72.3 and a low round of 65 with a highest finish of tied for seventh in four tournaments. Ethan Cairns' solid play has helped the Cobras be successful. The junior Fla. native has placed inside the top-30 in all four tournaments this fall.

The Navy and Gold will kick-off its spring season on Feb. 11, when they travel to Orange Park, Fla. for the Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate at the Fleming Island Golf Club.
