No. 23 Cobras Gear Up for NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship Tournament

MUSCLE SHOALS, ALA. – The Coker College men's golf team will return to the links on Monday (May 8) for round one of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championship Tournament. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place at the Fighting Joe Course on the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The par-72 course will be played at 7.407 yards.

The Cobras enter the tournament as the No. 23 team in the most recent Golfstat national ranking. Taylor Ingle leads the way with a 73.4 season scoring average. The second-team All-South Atlantic Conference selection has four top-ten finishes this season, to go along with one top-five. SAC Tournament individual champion Wanjoo Lee has a 73.9 season scoring average, while Ethan Cairns has a 74.1 stroke average this season. Will Bundy is making his second-straight appearance at the NCAA Regional, qualifying as an individual in 2016. The senior has a 75 stroke average on the season. Daniel Graves rounds out the lineup for the Navy and Gold, coming in with a 77.3 season scoring average.

The tournament features 18 of the top-25 nationally-ranked teams and 19 of the top-30 in NCAA DII, according to Golfstat.

The Cobras will tee off hole number one on Monday (May 8) morning, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
