Coker Men's Golf Qualifies for South/Southeast Regional; Regionally-Ranked Seventh

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team was named as one of the 10 teams from the southeast region that will be playing in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Golf Championship in Muscle Shoals, Ala. beginning on May 8.

The Cobras will head into the event as the seventh-ranked team in the southeast region and will join fellow SAC members Newberry, Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman. In total, 20 teams and eight individuals advanced to the three-day, 54-hole tournament, taking place at The Shoals Golf Club.

The Cobras are coming off a runner-up finish at the South Atlantic Conference Golf Championship, one of their seven top-five finishes this season, highlighted by a win at the Queens Collegiate Invitational. Taylor Ingle, Wanjoo Lee, Ethan Cairns and Will Bundy all have season scoring averages of 75 or below. Ingle has a 73.4 season stroke average with one top-five and four top-tens. Lee, who won the SAC individual title, has a 73.9 season scoring average. Cairns has a 74.1 scoring average with three top-tens, while Bundy sits right at 75 with one top-five and one top-ten.

Play will begin on May 8 and run through May 10 at The Shoals Golf Club in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
