Cobras and Bundy Take Second at Southern Tide Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team finished in tie for second place at the Southern Tide Intercollegiate, shooting final round team score of 296 and a team score of 893. Coker's final round score was the low round of the day and vaulted the Cobras from fourth to second in the final 18 holes.

Will Bundy stayed steady throughout the 54-hole event, backing up rounds of 72 and 73 with a final round score of 71. Bundy's final round of 71 was the second-lowest round of the day and his tournament score of 216 (E) left him in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard. Taylor Ingle finished with a round of 77, leaving him in a tie for tenth with a three-round score of 223. Ethan Cairns rebounded with a final round of 72 to finish with a tournament score of 228. Wanjoo Lee carded a final round of 76 for a 231 two-day score, while Nicholas Beiers shot a final round of 80 for a 235 tournament score.

Limestone College was the wire-to-wire team winner. The Saints finished with a team score of 883. Keith Egan of Clayton State shot a final round 67 for a 215 tournament score to win the individual medalist title.

The Cobras will be back in action on Sunday (Mar. 12) for the Wingate Invitational at Monroe Country Club.
