Coker Men's Golf Ranked No. 2 in Golfstat Regional Rankings

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team earned the No. 2 ranking in the southeast region in the latest Golfstat regional rankings. Along with the regional ranking, the Cobras are also ranked No. 29 in NCAA Division II.

The Cobras have competed in two events so far this fall, headlined by a win at the Queen Invitational (Sept. 19-20). Coker also racked up a third-place showing at the Kiawah Island Invitational (Sept. 12-13), where they shot a season-low round of 287.

Individually, Ethan Cairns and Taylor Ingle rank inside top 50 in the southeast region. Cairns is ranked No. 18 in the region with a season scoring average of 72.25. He has a sixth and seventh place finish so far this season, while Ingle ranks No. 45 in the region after finishing third at the Queens Invitational, where he was the top finisher among the players from the southeast region.

The Navy and Gold will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 3-4) when they travel to the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
