Cobras Conclude Day One at UNG Fall Invitational

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Coker College men's golf team shot rounds of 312 and 305 on day one of the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational, leading to a 617 team total and the 17th spot on the leaderboard.

Will Bundy and Blake Baysden led the way for the Cobras. Bundy fired rounds of 76 and 73 on his way to a 149 36-hole total. Baysden rebounded from a morning 78 with a round of 74 in the afternoon. Jonathan Sundstrom carded rounds of 80 and 77 on day one. Rounding out the traveling five for the Navy and Gold was the duo of Ethan Cairns and Wanjoo Lee. Caims signed off on rounds of 78 and 83, while Lee finished with rounds of 82 and 81.

Lee University is atop the team leaderboard after rounds of 284 and 274. Peyton Sliger of Lee University and Andrew Hall of Carson-Newman University are the individual overnight leaders after an eight-under par opening day.

Tee times will start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 6) at the Achasta Golf Club.
