Cobras Claim Eleventh at Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team shot a tournament score of 599 at the Kiawah Island Invitational to finished in 11th place. After an opening round score of 305, the Cobras rallied with a final round score of 294.

The Navy and Yellow were led by Will Bundy, whose final round 69 was the second lowest score on day two. His stellar play left him with a 143 tournament score and in a tie for eighth place individually. Next was Jonathan Sundstrom who rebounded after an opening round 79, with a final round 73 to leave him with a 152 36-hole score. The freshmen duo of Niclas Heino and Daniel Graves finished with tournament scores of 155. Heino shot a second round 78, while Graves carded a 74 on day two. Rounding out the Coker lineup was Blake Baysden who shot a final round of 83, leaving him with a tournament total of 158.

USC Aiken took home the team title posting a score of 573 in the 36-hole event. Individually, Hebert Tisserand of USC Aiken was the individual low medalist with a tournament score of 139.

The Cobras will have a quick turnaround as they will travel to Columbus, Ga. for the Aflac/Cougar Invitational beginning on Sept. 21.
