Cobras Wrap Up Day One of Kiawah Island Invitational

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team shot an opening round score of 305 on Monday (Sept. 14) at the Kiawah Island Invitational, leaving them in 17th position going into the final round.

Leading the way was 2014-15 All-SAC selection Will Bundy with a two-over par round of 74. His round leaves him in a tie for 27th place individually going into Tuesday. Blake Baysden fired an opening 75 to put him in a tie for 37th. Niclas Heino carded a 77 in his collegiate debut. Jonathan Sundstrom and Daniel Graves rounded out the Cobras starting five, signing off on rounds of 79 and 81.

USC Aiken is atop the team leaderboard after posting a team score of 284 on day one. Ethan Wagner of Flagler College is the individual overnight leader after a round of 67.

The Cobras will tee off tomorrow morning (Sept. 15) from 9 a.m. to 9:32 a.m. on hole number 10 at the Osprey Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.
