Cobras Take Sixth At SAC Championship, Rios Named All-Tournament Team

MARVIN, N.C. – The Coker College men's golf team came in a tie for sixth place in the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Golf Championship. The Cobras shot a team score of 309 on day two, in route to a team score of 617.

Alex Rios earned First Team All-Tournament honors after a closing round of 72. Rios's 148 two-day score was good enough for a fourth place finish individually. John Duke finished in tie for 14th place individually after a second route 78 led him to tournament score of 153. Blake Baysden, Will Bundy and Jonathan Sundstrom all shot 36-hole scores of 159. Baysden shot a final round 79, Bundy carded an 80 and Sundstrom signed off on a closing 81.

Tusculum College took home the team title with a tournament score of 597. Nick Forsberg of Tusculum was the individual medalist with a two-day score of 143.

The Cobras finish out the season with four top 10 finishes. Will Bundy was a second-team All-SAC selection and Alex Rios was named to the All-Tournament First Team at the SAC Championship.
