Cobras in Fifth After Day One of SAC Championship

MARVIN, N.C. – The Coker College men's golf team is in a tie for fifth place after day one of the South Atlantic Conference Golf Championship. The Cobras shot an opening round 308 on Monday (Apr. 20).

John Duke led the way for the Navy and Yellow, firing an opening 75 and is in a tie for seventh place individually. Alex Rios is in a tie for 14th place after shooting a 76 on day one. Jonathan Sundstrom, Will Bundy and Blake Baysden rounded things out for the Cobras with opening rounds of 78, 79 and 80.

Tusculum College is out in front after shooting a team score of 295 on day one. Nick Forsberg of Tusculum is atop the individual leaderboard after an opening round of 70.

The Cobras will begin round two at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning (Apr. 21) as they will be teeing off hole one at the Firethorne Country Club.
