Bundy Leads Cobras to Eleventh Place Showing at Bearcat Classic

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Coker College men's golf team shot a final round 290 on Tuesday (Mar. 24) at the Bearcat Golf Classic leading to an 11th place finish and a team score of 871 (+7).  

Will Bundy continued his stellar play firing a closing round of 70 to finish the tournament with a score of 211. His five-under 54-hole score left him in a tie for fourth place individually and his tournament score of 211 is tied for the second lowest 54-hole tournament score in Coker men's golf history. Alex Rios finished in a tie for 12th place individually after a final round of 73 and a two-day score of 213. Blake Baysden finished with a three round score of 220 after a final round 76. John Duke and Jonathan Sundstrom rounded out the traveling five for the Navy and Yellow with tournament totals of 229 and 236. Duke closed with a final round 71, while Sundstrom signed off on a final round 80.

Flagler College won the tournament firing a team tournament total of 833 (-31). Sebastian Barnoya of Flagler also won the individual medalist title shooting a tournament score of 203 (-13).

The Cobras will be back in action on April 6 when they travel to the Mount Olive Invitational in Goldsboro, N.C.
