Coker Men’s Golf Finishes in 13th at Pirate Invitational

POOLER, GA. – The Coker College men's golf team finished in 13th place at the Pirate Invitational hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University. The Cobras shot a final round 316 en route to a team tournament total of 927.

Will Bundy paced the Navy and Yellow, shooting a final round 74 on his way to a three-round score of 221 and a tie for 19th place individually. Alex Rios also had a strong final 18 holes, shooting a final round 75. He finished in a tie for 32nd with a 54-hole score of 228. Jonathan Sundstrom and Blake Baysden both finished with tournament scores of 240. Sundstrom shot 83 on the final day, while Baysden carded a final round 84. John Duke also signed off on a closing round of 84 on his way to tournament score of 243.

Nova Southeastern erased a one stroke deficit after day one and shot a final round score of 297 to finish with a tournament score of 868 to win by nine strokes over Wingate.

The men will take some time off before heading to Charlotte, N.C. for the Hargett Memorial Invitational on March 16.
