Bundy Paces Cobras to Ninth Place Finish at Matt Dyas Invitational

CARROLLTON, Ga. – The Coker College men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Matt Dyas Invitational. The Cobras shot a final round 293 (+5) resulting in a tournament total of 895 (+31).

Will Bundy once again led the Cobras with a final round 71 (-1) on his way to a three-round score of 215 (-1). Bundy's finish put him in a tie for tenth on the individual leaderboard. Freshmen Jonathan Sundstrom and Alex Rios were next with tournament scores of 228 (+12) and 229 (+13). Sundstrom shot a final round 75 (+3) while Rios fired a closing even-par round of 72. Juniors John Duke and Blake Baysden finished with two-day totals of 231 (+15) and 232 (+16). Duke shot a final day 79 (+7) and Baysden rallied to close with a round of 75 (+3).

Host West Georgia took home the team title after shooting a tournament team total of 853 (-11) which was twelve strokes better than runner-up UNC Pembroke. Charlie Durman of West Georgia captured the individual medalist title by three strokes with a score of 208 (-8).

The men's team heads into their offseason and will not be back in action until Feb. 10 when they head to Jacksonville, Fla. for the Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate.
